Counselling (APO) provides a confidential culturally sensitive counselling service to all its service users. Please feel free to come and talk to any of our counsellors. Issues ranging from immigration problems to ill health, children and marriage etc. can be discussed. Contact us for more information.
(APO) ensures that mothers are made aware of the dangers of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
We organize a comprehensive series of seminars on HIV/AIDS and other sexually related diseases, the dangers in the misuse of alcohol and drugs.
Seminars and parental skills workshops are used for round-table discussions between parents and their children. So that parents may have better communication with their children.
We provide workshops that have culturally specific sex education, ensuring that the cultural, spiritual and religious backgrounds of the client group are taken into consideration.
We encourage HIV testing and provide support, pre and post testing.
Peer support group (APO) holds peer support groups at The Welcare House, Canbury Park Road, Kingston on the third Wednesday of each month 6.30 p.m. - 9.30 p.m., for those who are HIV+. Treatment updates, healthy eating plans and other useful information is always at hand during the group meetings.
Complementary therapies - (APO) refers service users to Key Partnership. This is held at The Welcare Centre, Canbury Park Road, Kingston every Wednesday evening 6.30pm - 9.30pm. It is a walk-in service and registration for Key Partnership. Contact us for more information.
Condoms (APO) is in partnership with African Cultural Promotion to provide free condoms to all African communities. These condoms are available at our offices, collect them free and maintain safer sex.
(APO) gives support to those who are HIV+ in hospital, or who are very ill at home.

We are constantly running courses on Basic computer skills, Personal Development and CV writing.
Young Carers Project in Richmond
KRASAPO provides support for young carers in Richmond by finding volunteers to take up the jobs they normally do while caring for their loved ones, and providing the carers with a break. Holidays, respite care, day trips and weekend breaks can be arranged. These young people are particularly disadvantaged because they are affected by HIV issues, and isolated due to stigma.
