(APO) is a registered charity established in 1999 Registration No. 1085423.
We provide information, advice and support services to people of African descent, living within the boroughs of Kingston, Richmond and Surrey County areas, who are affected/ infected by HIV/AIDS. We work with young people by providing a drop-in service for homework, intenet surffing services and health promotional services.
We work collaboratively with local health promotion services, statutory agencies and the independent sector; to prevent the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
Equal Opportunity Policy:
We are committed to working in ways that are respectful, inclusive and anti-discriminatory. Assisting individuals and enabling them to maximise their independence, self-respect and self-determination. We are committed to tackling HIV/AIDS related discrimination and prejudice.
(APO) believe that everyone is entitled to community life, a standard of basic rights and universal needs. Our aim is to effect change by reducing isolation, and by raising awareness to improve life chances.
About Our Staff -
(APO) Management Committee are all volunteers. There are also committed volunteers who are actively involved in supporting its work. Without their expertise and help, we would not be able to provide the services that are most needed by our community. We would like to thank them for their continued support.
